Computrace® LoJack® für Notebooks von Absolute® Software ist ein Software-basierter Diebstahl-Wiederbeschaffungsdienst. Er verfolgt, lokalisiert und beschafft gestohlene Notebooks und hilft dabei, persönliche Daten vor Identitätsdiebstahl zu schützen. Im Falle eines Diebstahls kann das Wiederbeschaffungsteam das Notebook, sobald es mit dem Internet verbunden ist, forensisch untersuchen und somit herausfinden, wo es sich befindet. In Zusammenarbeit mit der örtlichen Polizei wird das Notebook dann wiederbeschafft und an den Eigentümer zurückgegeben. Um einen Identitätsdiebstahl zu verhindern löscht der Datenlöschdienst aus der Ferne alle persönlichen und sensiblen Daten von der Festplatte.
